Trainee Probation Officer Recruitment applications for this year are now closed. Currently we do not know when the next recruitment of Trainee Probation Officers will take place as a new qualification is under development. Welcome to Yorkshire & Humberside Consortium website. The Consortium serves the four Probation Areas of the region through the provision of in service training, national vocational qualifications and the qualifying training for new Probation Officers.

Yorkshire & Humberside Consortium provides a range of

training to the four Probation Areas in the region including:

 

  • Recruit and train people to become qualified Probation Officers

 

  • Deliver in-service training for all grades of probation staff across the region including a suite of ILM (Institute of Learning & Management) Management and Coaching Awards.

 

  • NVQ Assessment Centre (employer based) - provides NVQ Level 3 in Community Justice (Working with Offending Behaviour), Level 4 as part of the Diploma in Probation Studies, Youth Justice Level 3 and Assessor & Verifier qualifications.
     
  • 'What Works’ – delivery of Accredited Programmes training regionally and nationally to support the ‘What Works’ agenda
