The Yorkshire and Humberside Consortium is a City and Guilds approved NVQ assessment Centre. City and Guilds is the UK’s leading provider of vocational qualifications and is recognised by employers worlwide for providing qualifications that offer proof of the skills they need to get the job done.
The NVQ Centre has managed the delivery, assessment and quality assurance of the NVQ level 4 within the DipPS since it’s introduction. We have worked closely with City and Guilds to ensure that Awarding Body requirements have been met. Three of our candidates and one staff member have received Medals for Excellence recognising the outstanding quality of their work. The Centre is committed to continuous professional development, to developing the most effective and efficient assessment practice, and to providing equal access to fair assessment.
The Centre has recently expanded its involvement in NVQ3 programmes across the 4 Areas within the region. This has included the assessment of Probation staff within a range of Band 3 roles in offender management and interventions, including Approved Premises and Unpaid Work.
The Centre currently has approval to offer the following qualifications :
Level 4 NVQ in Community Justice ( Work with Offending Behaviour).
Level 3 NVQ in Community Justice ( Work with Offending Behaviour).
Level 3 NVQ Development Award in Work with Offending Behaviour.
Level 3 NVQ Youth Justice Services Award.
A1 : NVQ Assessor Award.
V1 : NVQ Internal Verifier Award.
